Hello!
I’m Lindsay. I’m a Toronto-based design leader and full stack designer as Head of Design at Moderne. My projects are original and rooted in core design principles to solve real user problems. I build strong teams and foster their professional growth through autonomy and empowerment. I’ve worked on global design projects for Fortune 500 companies in Toronto, Berlin, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. In my spare time, I’m a book lover (reading right now), yogi and a cycling fanatic (indoor and outdoor).

My key strengths
I grow and foster the talents of my team of designers
My approach is to build a team with complementary specialized skills, support their autonomy; and ultimately foster their professional growth. I’m adept at growing my team as a project grows.
I excel at helping designers expand their skill sets wherever they are in their design maturity. In 2021, I grew two designers from Senior Product Designers to Product Design Leads for two respective programs in the Tanzu Application Platform team.
I’m experienced at leading projects through discovery, framing, and iterative delivery
I have 4 years of experience as a design manager at VMware/Pivotal.
I’ve worked with multinational Fortune 500 companies in Toronto, Berlin, Washington DC, and Los Angeles.
I have both strong design and management skills
I oversee a team of designers and coordinate with product managers and engineers on their respective scopes of work.
I am accountable for the execution and quality of the user experience in the Tanzu Application Platform.
I am a full stack designer and can take projects from inception to final product.
My projects are original and rooted in core design principles to solve real user problems.
